Yes, we very much need this ability -- to correct a record after the sale. Occasionally, we put the wrong serial number in, or the wrong customer name as there are many smiths, jones, johnsons, etc in our system and the wrong customer can easily be selected. I only see the mistake as I'm registering a bike or running detailed monthly reports. I need to be able to correct the errors as soon as notice them, otherwise my records are forever wrong...the wrong serial number associated with the wrong person. For example, if the actual record isn't changed, and I run a Serial Number report, the information is forever wrong because I couldn't correct it in the backend after the problem is found.

The current way to fix incorrect information is to return the item or whole transaction and then repurchase it. That means the wrong purchase date is now in the system. That effects warranty and other information, like monthly revenue stats/sales, etc.

As the owner of the business, it should be my prerogative to correct mistakes when I need to.
