Add Original Price, Discount %, and Discounted/New Price to the Sales Screen and the Reciepts

Current Situation: When a discount is given, the item’s price is changed to the discounted price, and the receipt doesn’t show the original price. So, on a multi-line order, with discounts on some or all of the line items, the customer cannot decipher the percentage of the discount(s), the amount of the discount(s) or where the discounts were given. They can see the total discounts at the bottom of the receipt but cannot tell where the discounts were applied by line item. Please see the attached receipt from CL on an order for the City of Pismo Beach (that was HEAVILY discounted).
Recommendation: Show the original price, the discount amount (in %), and the new/discounted price. Please see attached receipt from another POS system.
Why: The customer should be able to easily decipher where the discounts were made by seeing the original price and the discounted price.

I would prefer to have it on the small receipt as well.

It needs to show the original price and the discounted price/%off on all types of orders, especially on the final sales receipt.

Hi all,
We've made some good progress on these changes, see attached screenshot of the changes to a Special Order Receipt
We're confident we'll have these changes in the next Cloud POS update (July 2024).
Thanks,
Suzy

Hi all,
We're going to make the change to the Full Size receipts to add line discount information - Original Price & Discount %.
This will be in the next update of Cloud POS (July 2024).
Thanks,
Suzy

Would this just apply to the A4 receipt where we have more space to work with? The 40 column thermal receipts can become overly complex if we add a lot of fields.
I definitely think this is good idea and its got a lot of upvotes.
Can I also just thank you for the excellent writeup, including the screenshots, its a massive help. Particularly the 'Why' section which describes the business problem.
