Can we please have a option to print assembly labels. some of our mulitpacks dont have their own barcodes and being unable to print labels makes it very time consuming typing each item manually into the till

Barcode for Assembly item

It would be helpful to be able to create a barcode for assembly items.
i.e. Batribike comes in as seperate items.
You choose the Bike, battery then screen.
So when pricing up the bikes it would be better to have one barcode with the bundle price and barcode advertised.

Hi all,
I think this is a great idea - we'll look to add this to the Assembly page in the next update of Cloud POS (October 2024).
I've linked our work item, so you'll get updates as this work progresses.
Thanks,
Suzy

I also wonder if there could potentially be the option to set one part of the assembly as the "master" item, and hold the remaining items as "offline." Or make the assembly available as stock and the items under the assembly
become unavailable for individual purchase. For instance: I assemble a frameset with al a carte components we choose to feature. I want to show the entire build as available, but I need to avoid the components installed on the bike selling online (this has happened before and it's a pain). I can set assembly items as offline, but then when it comes time to sell the floor model, I have to move each component back online... it's a bit cumbersome. There is a bit of stickiness with this I realize, as not everyone would prefer to use this functionality in this way. But perhaps it is food for thought.

Amen to this. For custom built floor models, this is a MUST. With the current functionality. I have to transfer each individual item out of the system and create a new item which is essentially an assembly item. Doing so divorces the build from a level of detail (UPC, VPN, Descriptions) for the components that we like/need to reference for customers and internal reference.

I want to use assembly items to price bikes (frame + battery = bike), and after those are set up, I need to be able to print a label showing the cost of the bike with a small battery and the cost of a bike with a big battery. If we can't print the price tags, it's pointless to create assembly items.
