I've imported two "Matrix parents" from SIM today, that are unpopulated, they're also not Matrix items, so I can't even add the child products in. I know have two more ILCs that are surplus to requirements and just bunging up search results.
Deletion or archiving would be really useful.

I'm sure I've asked about this before. Once a product has had anything done to it (Purchase Order, sold, received, transferred etc) data tendrils extend through the database making it highly inadvisable to try and remove them.
If there is a way to delete an ILC that has never been used in any way that would be handy.
E.g. Set a date for Older Than.
See a list of ILCs that can be safely removed.
Select and remove from the database.
If they can't be deleted, perhaps they can be marked as Archived.
Archived products would not appear on any reports or listings.
We've got over 338,000 products on our system and I would love to Archive about 70% of these...

Stefan Moody: I agree. I have a fashion boutique and out of the several thousand items only about ten are ever repeated. Most items are only stocked in singles so once sold it seems pointless keeping on system.

Hi Wayne. Thanks for your feedback. This is something that exists in our development to do list, I do not have a timescale on when this change will be made. I have linked this post to the development task, so that as this progresses you will receive automatic notifications. If anyone would like this change to be also, please up vote to help us prioritise or taks. Kind regards, Rebecca

Wayne M: Hi Wayne. I have linked the development task to this post. It was something that was already on our roadmap internally, there is no existing canny request for this that I am aware of. Kind regards, Rebecca
