Allow pasting of images directly into CitrusLime support Live Chat

Currently when talking to CitrusLime support, if we need to send a screenshot, we have to first save the image, then upload.
on the previous live chat implementation you had, we could paste images directly into the chat window
this would be an awesome quality of life improvement and would speed things up as well as decluttering our computers of screenshots images that we only need once.
do you have anything in the pipeline for this?
Thank you

Hello Richard,
Thank you for your feedback! We understand how convenient it was to paste images directly into the chat window, and we appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.
Our current live chat system is provided by a third party and is not our own proprietary code. We moved from our previous provider because it was not integrated with our CRM system, which significantly impacted our productivity and efficiency. While the previous live chat solution was purpose-built and offered richer features, our current system is an add-in that allows for better overall workflow integration.
At present, the live chat provider does not support direct image pasting, and I have checked their forums and found there are no immediate plans for this functionality to be introduced. However, we are exploring potential alternatives, such as integrating a third-party service like WhatsApp, which may allow for image-pasting. We do not have a timeline for this yet, but we will keep our customers updated on any developments.
Thank you again for your feedback and suggestions.
Kind regards, Jenna

Jenna Lees - Head of Customer Support thanks both for the detailed response. i understand it may not happen too much but it's just for those times where screenshots are easier to get the issue across. Whatsapp sounds like a great addition too! will keep an eye out

The live chat is not our code, but we have raised this with the vendor. The old live chat did not integrate with our CRM platform so we kept loosing things. The new one does, but on features like this, its not as good as the older tool. A net win, but on this aspect, a step backwards.
