Back Office 2.0 - Product Filter auto searching

Hi all,
We're making two changes in the release of Cloud POS at the end of August.
Firstly, we're fixing the bug where the focus was lost from the grid search/filters when applied.
Secondly, we're slowing the "auto-search" down considerably.
Hopefully this will make a big difference to the usability of the grids!
Thanks,
Suzy

Search and Select Customer starts searching before you've finished typing

We've had a previously fixed issue return. If you are searching for a customer in "Search and Select Customer", POS starts searching for the customer if you pause when typing (ie. customer reads their phone number slowly). When you start typing again the box has closed off so you have to click it again, and the customer to repeat their number.

We find this very hard especially when speaking to customers over the phone and they are giving their details. If they pause it stops typing and then they continue with their conversation and we go to type the details in and it doesn't pick it up. The customer then continues with their conversation but we haven't been unable to load their details so we have to go back on ourselves. Its the same for search barcodes, if we don have scanner and manually enter this it really slows processes down.

This is making things very difficult for our customer service team when they have customers on the phone, if they hesitate even slightly when typing in a customers post code or order number it will automatically start to search without you realising and then you often have to ask the customer to repeat the post code/order number. Its the same for search barcodes, if we don have scanner and manually enter this it really slows processes down.

There was a similar issue when the till screen was updated to the latest version and they managed to slow things down a little. I would also like to see the cursor remain in the box that you are typing in as once it does it 'Auto Searc' thing then if you need to add more information, you need to click the cursor back into the box.

Many of our team here also agree. We have also noticed that once it has finished the 'search,' if you haven't finished typing you have to click back into the box you were searching in. If the search function could work like in CloudMT, it would be a lot better.
