Do we need the chat button live on the bottom right???

As all the elements of Citrus Lime our client facing not consumer facing, could we consider NOT having the chat button taking up screen space bottom right as it sometimes gets in the way on smaller resolution screens?
If it was moved to help with a link to chat, then to me that would make more sense and be more the norm for a web or adminsitration back end? We all know chat is available as a comms channel, and then when clicking on it - if we have forgotten service opening hours - it will tell us if you are offline...

Hi all,
We won't have the widget in the bottom right of the page in Back Office 2.0, as as of August this won't be in the Workshop either.
The link will be available in the Help menu in the top right and will open in a new window instead.
Thanks,
Suzy

It often covers the buttons we need to use on the daily.

Personally it's really useful having the help button easily to hit. I find it really frustrating on other websites we use, having to hunt the chat button! I would be open to being able to hide it though!

Just move it to a link under the help menu. One less thing to load up before the main page opens. I don't think I've ever used it...

We might be able to add a keyboard short cut to hide it and put show/hide in the menu, what do people think?

Neil McQuillan - CEO Citrus-Lime: Thanks - that would work I just don’t get why it needs a be there as if we want to contact support we can just got to the help link but others may have a different view :)
We were just staring at it today in training and pondered why it’s actually visible for a non consumer facing site.

Neil McQuillan - CEO Citrus-Lime: It would be useful to be able to move or hide it as it covers buttons and drop down menus in the back office.

Nigel Bishop: Thanks Nigel - not just us then :)
