GDPR Right to Erasure

This process within the CitrusLime ecosystem is a bit of a mess at the moment. If a customer requests this we have to go to 4 different locations to remove a customer.
- Back Office
- Rewards
- Cloud MT
- Mailchimp
let alone any other systems we have internally (e.g. Office365 Emails / Ticketing systems)
There needs to be a single button that anonymises data in all 4 locations. Back Office doesn't even have an anonymise option for customers.
This is comes from the fact that if a customer unsubscribes from mailchimp marketing emails they still get Reward emails and from our experience if you unsubscribe from a company you should not receive any emails. the customers then get annoyed and ask for their data to be deleted. costing us time and losing sales in the future.

I can't believe how many posts there are about Mailchimp, some of them going back as far as 2019, which really points to the fact that the integration and the way email data is handled requires a major improvement.
It's all very well for CL to be advertising seamless Mailchimp integration but the reality is, is that it doesn't work very well and costs a fortune. I have been trying to get somewhere with Customer Support with both CL and Mailchimp but not getting very far.
I have created a request about this and would suggest that you put your weight behind it a vote on it so we can get these much needed improvements underway.

Agree, I'd guess that a "one button" feature across all systems is quite a bit of development but at least matching the anonymise feature present on Rewards with the same in POS would be something

Definitely a big hassle and time waste.

Neil McQuillan - CEO Citrus-Lime leanne@citruslime.com are any GDPR fixes any roadmap?
Neil McQuillan - CEO Citrus-Lime
Richard Twinn: I believe the system we have now works, but I agree its a hassle. We don't have any current plans to address that, the idea of one master button is a good one.

Neil McQuillan - CEO Citrus-Lime: Hi Neil, the system doesn't work as we have to manually change details for a customer in the back office, yet there's an anonymise button elsewhere. Also customers get confused if they unsubscribe from newsletters, they expect to be unsubscribed from all comms but are still getting rewards comms when there's new promotions. Thanks
