ILC Character Limit

The character limit for Item Lookup Codes is set to 25 characters. Some of our suppliers have ILCs longer than 25 characters.
This causes problems within our warehouses and also with our finance systems.
The problems this creates in the warehouse is that a user will be looking for an item with the shorter code from backoffice, however the product in the warehouse will have a longer more detailed code. Your system cuts the end of the code off, however this is often the most unique part of the code identify the specific spec of the item.
The issue this causes with the finance systems is that the supplier invoices will have the correct full length ILC but it won't be able to find the product on the system, flagging an error every time.
Is it possible/please can you raise the ILC character limit to 35 characters?

I know that there is another similar post with over 35 ticks but it is over 2 years old and we still haven't got a workaround.
I've got over 1,000 2024 bikes to add, all with SKUs longer than 25 characters.
I can't add them to the ILC, the Supplier Ref or the Alias fields.
This makes ordering on the B2B a slow and tedious process and prone to error.
Not that we use it much but SIM will also not be able to import in new products.
35 characters, at least on the Supplier Ref field and ideally also on the ILC would do the trick.

Hi guys,
Can we please get an update on this one? The character limit is causing headaches with stock coming in from one of our largest suppliers, and I don't imagine it's a particularly time consuming fix to raise the character limit.
We are experiencing all of the same problems Kieron has been for over a year now. Can you let us know when you expect this to be resolved?
