The Item Lookup code is not looking for the Aliases and needs to. It's not picking up the UPC codes, which came across from my old POS as an Alias. Also brought across from my old POS is an item code, also in the Alias field. I need to be able to scan the UPC codes and have the item pop up (so the system has to look in the Alias field, please.

Hello everyone! We're excited to share some fantastic new features in Cloud POS that have been developed based on your valuable feedback. Our Development Team have been hard at work to make it easier for you to find items within Cloud POS. Please bear in mind that we've still got a few changes to make to the layout and wording but we were keen to give you an advance look before we release it in our upcoming July release. You can watch the video here: https://www.loom.com/share/ba8a4d96ee074dc18c743a52955d11c1?sid=189c8167-6cae-4e50-9bed-2dde902f73dd

Toby (actually posting as Warren here) and I had a great call to chat through this post and a few others. I am adding the explanation here for the benefit of others who have voted on it.
If you click the 'Add Items to Purchase Order' button and enter a search into the Item Lookup Code field (as the image posted below shows), it will initially only find Item Lookup Codes for items associated with that supplier/vendor. However, if you tick the 'Show Items For All Suppliers' checkbox, your search will be broadened to find any Item Lookup Code in your Cloud POS database.
If you prefer to add items to Purchase Orders using the UPC or any other value in the Alias table, you are best to use the 'Quick Scan' button instead. This field will take Item Lookup Codes, Supplier Part Codes AND Alias values, identifying matches across items associated with any supplier/vendor.*
*We have identified a small bug in that Quick Scan search related to adding additional supplier/vendor codes. The fix has been implemented and, pending successful testing, this will be in the July Cloud POS release. The work has been tagged to this feedback post, so that voters will receive notification when the fix is live.
We have some more new features coming for item search across the Back Office and Point of Sale in the July release - keep an eye out for the release email coming soon.

Warren, We do check all alias fields when an item is scanned. Can you give me an example so we can check it for you? If you can let me know which area of the system this is, that would also be super helpful.
If you hand type an alias field (not scan) in the POS it will say 'not found' as you type, but it will add when you hit return, this is a bug which is being addressed.

Neil McQuillan Ah...it's in the Purchase Order feature where it's not finding the alias. See attached screen shots.
