Kit Creation - Allow adding of Matrix Parent

Hi, the Kit creation is great for single child items, but we'd also like to sell groupsets this way.
Groupsets have various items in different sizes e.g. a chainset length of 165mm/170mm/172.5mm and these all come with different size chain rings 11-30 11-34.
if we could add groupsets that would be great, these can be high margin and high value items (£1000's!)
we currently have to do it manually so sizes get missed and it takes longer to create

Emma - Citrus-Lime This would be a VERY poweful addition, The ability to ADD kits to MATRIX items. We sell heated socks with different battery options so create a kit for each option BUT then there are 4 sock sizes, and thats us stuck!
KITS is far more powerful than people realise - Google IS indexing it, so if you have for example a spare part that suits many models of a bike for example, you can create KITS almost as if clones stating which model bike it is for, and you get an seo win.
However as soon as I now start listing sock kits in each size individually thats a potential google penalty - size options must be grouped.
So please can we have this functionality, as I say this feature is very powerful and yet its not used as effectively as it could be and this additon of being able to group KIT items into a MATRIX would be the cherry on the top. :)

We agree that the current kit functionality works really well. The next step that would add significant value would be the ability to include matrix items within kits. We have several ideas for future kits, but many of them rely on allowing customers to choose the specific size they need. E.g. selecting the size of saddlecloth, ears, and boots when building a horse kit. Enabling size selection within a kit would make bundles far more flexible and customer-friendly, and open up many more opportunities to use the feature.
