MPQ cost calculations - item from pack cost or pack cost from item

Can we make it so that when we enter an MPQ quantity that we can enter either the pack cost (how it is usually represented from vendors) or the per item cost and have the other field automatically calculated?
Entering the MPQ and then a per-item cost does not represent the typical data that we have on hand when ordering. I usually have a pack quantity and cost.

Hi everyone,
We’re changing how MPQ costs work so you can start from the pack cost you actually know. In the Edit Supplier Details panel on an item, Unit Cost, Pack Cost and MPQ will all be editable, and the other figures will calculate automatically when you change one of them.
This work is planned for our current development sprint and, pending successful testing, we’re targeting a release in mid-November.
Thank you for contributing your feedback to help us improve Cloud POS.

Emma - Citrus-Lime great to hear!
One other thought/improvement - I ran into a situation where I was creating an item that is MPQ. I put the individual item price in the price field, but the pack cost in the initial cost. If there can be MPQ calculation integration in item creation screen that would help avoid errors and make things more uniform.

Hi Suzy. I'd say the box cost needs to be on both Item page and PO screens. It will then, of course, have to show the Box Cost on various Price List reports and wizards as well...
This is a really good call from Tim as I encounter problems with every price list I get from suppliers. I have to divide the box cost they give me by the MPQ to get a Supp Cost Price I can cross-ref for price changes. This would speed up the process a bit for us.

I suspect from the Edit Item Page. It's a pain having to use 'Calculator' to work out the unit cost, when as Tim says, most suppliers sell on the box cost.

Hi Tim,
Thanks for your feedback, would this be in the Purchase Order edit screen or on the edit item page, or both?
Thanks,
Suzy
