Purchase Orders // Add filters to the Goods In grid
complete
I
Info
On a Goods In, it would be very useful to be able to use the Item Look Up code to book stock in, which for most users, is the same as the supplier product code. Even if it was possible to filter products like you can on a purchase order it would make booking a single item in on large PO slightly less stressful and hopefully avoid errors.

Hello,
Unless I've misunderstood the request, you can already do this by using the QuickScan in Goods In and entering the ItemLookupCode.
Thanks,
Suzy

Info
Suzy Weightman: Well so it does. The little pop up box only says to scan barcodes so I didn't think to try entering an ILC into it but it does work. Everyday is a school day.
Suzy Weightman
Info: Good news! I've raised a task for us to change the wording on the pop-up to say you can use ILC, Supplier Partcode or Barcode/Alias.
Thanks,
Suzy

Info
Suzy Weightman: Slight hurdle, when booking in a serialized item, it forces you to enter the serial number. Can this be made optional?
Suzy Weightman
Info: Hi,
At the moment the only way to avoid adding the serial numbers at Goods In (and allow them to be entered at the POS) is to manually update the Quantity Received in the grid.
So two options -
- Add a filter to the grid so you can easily filter for the correct ILC
- Add an extra button on the Serial Number quick scan popup in Goods In to allow you to skip adding a serial number but still update the Qty Received.
What are your thoughts?

I
Info
Suzy Weightman: My thoughts are that a filter might be the better option as it would be very easy to mis-type an item number and check in the wrong item. The filters would allow you to home in on the correct item before you commit as you can on the PO page.

Info: Agreed - I'll raise a new task to add filtering to the Goods In screen.
Thanks,
Suzy
