Please set the window to open with the search bar visible at the top, and the cursor placed in the search bar. Scrolling and clicking to accomplish this each time is a small step, but it adds up over dozens and dozens of items.

Apologies I forgot to get this updated, but we made the change in May to auto-focus the search input.

the search bar is visible to me and you request may suit you but i add items by part number or barcode so this request may not suit everbody.
