Purchase Orders // Better Multi-location functionality

As a multi-location retailer I would like a "global" PO functionality.
In addition to ordering directly to our stores, we frequently place one PO with a vendor and receive all product at our warehouse. Current work flow does not support that well at all. We either have to:
- PO per location which complicates the ordering and receiving process
- PO to one location which complicates management of customer orders
Both of those add opportunity for errors as well as extra work to what should be an easy process.
Would love to see the following functionality:
- Ability to add all customer orders across all stores to a single PO irrespective of PO location
- Ability to reflect all customer orders across all locations upon receiving
- Ability to automatically create a transfer to store where customer order exists

This would save us loads of time and avoid ordering issues every week. We either use the Dummy Transfer process or manually create POs for each store and then combine them. Both processes have their problems.
Do you use the Dummy Transfers and if you do, do you find that the stock doesn't return to the correct value after they are deleted, or is it just us?

Lyndon Hollands dummy transfer? Haven't had the opportunity to play with that and mess things up. I'll try it and see if we have the same challenges.

This is the process but we don't actually place the initial transfer as it gets deleted after the purchase orders are generated. We run the transfers from the warehouse to all stores to create the demand by deselecting the box marked Only transfer when sufficient stock is available.
It was a long time ago but I think "Dummy Transfer" must be our term because it isn't mentioned in this article.
