Quick Bin Location Check

When a member of staff is taking items back to our warehouse (i.e. new stock, returns or clearing away stock that customers have viewed) it would be really useful to have an area of Cloud POS (perhaps a dedicate page) where you scanned an item and underneath it displayed the Bin Location quite large on the screen. If the cursor remained in the scan box then the next item could be scanned easily. We can then leave stations for doing this in the warehouse "to be put away" area.

Should this post be stumbled upon by anyone we have created an apps called Quick Look and Quick Bin that allows you to do just this! They are fully integrated to Cloud POS. Quick Look allows quick scanning of items to find information on both mobile and PC. Quick Bin allows you to set bin locations on the fly (either single or entire matrix items) again either using a handheld device such as a Zebra scanner or a PC. It is designed so that in 2 scans (one on the item, the other on the bin locations) you can set the location and continue on to the next item. It saves us literally hours and hours per week.
If this is of interest to any retailers coming across this post and you would like a demo of it please email bareretailltd@gmail.com and I would be happy to jump on a call to run through it or answer any other questions. We do have other apps available that integrate with Citrus Lime.

Did you know that the Stock Enquiry pop up has bin location on it.

Highland Bikes Admin: Thank you, yes, we do use this. What we were looking for was a way for us to leave a machine open on a screen and just scan. That way the person using it just needs to hold a scanner and not keep reaching and clicking on multiple links.

Totally agree - we have built this ourselves and have it at the end of an isle but it isn’t connected to POS so needs updating regularly.

@scott-hargrave-skiers-lounge-consultant: Thank you. What do you use for this? I was thinking of using a find in Excel however I can't find a report with Bin Location and Alias columns. Perhaps adding Bin Location to the "Alias List" report would help here?

Ben: Think it was Zoho we used, faff to set up though and would have been a cinch to do in Microsoft Access (showing my age!)
