We have an additional improvement coming to Cloud POS.

This will allow you to enter the Alias/Barcode at the point when child items are being created, as an additional entry field.

I think that another improvement would be to list the Aliases in the child items grid as an extra column, similar to the main Items Grid?

Suzy Weightman - It would be useful to change the colour of the Barcode symbol when the field is complete. When creating matrices manually as I often do - bouncing between spreadsheets and the Barcode field can be distracting - a visual marker would let me know where the next one is going! Along with the shortened flow for adding them, this would significantly speed up the additions of EAN

We're adding this back into the grid, so it's quicker and easier to access the set alias tab.

This will be in the Cloud POS update next week.
