I have been asking for this to be fixed for FIVE years. My last attempt on here got 32 upvotes and was ignored. I don't know who is giving you duff advice but Google STILL considers this key for signposting and context, plus accessibility. It STILL is noted in any Citrus Lime websites PageSpeed Insights as a warning. It IS EEAT essential. It is being used by AI to help with search and context. And its damn easy to resolve!
Do as Google suggest and you cant go far wrong. Whether thats right or wrong.
So PLEASE for the love of mary, joseph and the wee donkey, PLEASE sort this. I am tired of getting warnings for bad formatting and tagging for what is an everyday thing on every other platform, and even DIY builds!
Goes to bang head against the wall. The image I have attached... its from a GOOGLE training programme on EEAT best practice...

Just at least stripping out image names and using them would suffice as it would encourage us to properly name images, which funnily enough also has an impace on SEO...
