Hi all,
We're going to add the ability to set a Due Date on each line on a Purchase Order.
We expect this to be available later in the year (November).
Once the work in Cloud POS is completed we'll then update eCommerce so the line Due Dates are respected. If a line Due Date is not set we'll default to the Purchase Order Due Date instead.
I've linked our work item so you'll get updates as this progresses.
Thanks,
Suzy

Suzy Weightman this sounds awesome! will it be available via the API too please. this will be very beneficial to have it automatically update via suppliers via our API.

Pre-order dates at SKU level

We would like to be able to add pre-order dates to individual SKUs as opposed to on the product itself, as often SKUs have various pre-order dates so we need to set the product's date to the farthest SKU date.
Also these are sent by most of the manufacturer/distributor's feeds, so having these pulled in via SIM would be fantastic.

Adding a due date to each product on a Purchase Order, or at least having a notes feature on the Purchase Order to add info such as due date etc..

Due Dates Against Individual Lines on Purchase Orders

SALES
It would be incredibly useful if we could add due dates to individual lines on a purchase order.
Example:
We order multiple styles of boots from a supplier on the same Purchase Order. Some of these may be in stock, but others will be added to a back order with futures supply/production dates, which can be months apart from each other - having a single Purchase Order due date is not an accurate reflection of when the stock arriving, and is actively misleading when back orders are involved, increasing the likelihood that customers may be given incorrect due dates for their orders.
When suppliers give us a list back order due dates, it would be helpful if we could then correctly update these dates against each line/item in the purchase order. This would enable staff to see accurately see timeframes at a glance, enabling us to notify / update customers quickly and efficiently. It would also aid future purchase orders as we would have much more visibility of what stock is arriving and when.
This would help to improve customer service and sales, and save staff time from having to manually cross reference Purchase Orders with lists of due dates every time a customers wants to know when something will be restocked.
Currently the Purchase Orders are only accurate for items which are all in stock and expected to arrive at the same time - in reality this is often not the case and doesn't reflect the staggered nature of deliveries / back orders or Forward Orders.
This would also help to reflect production delays more quickly and accurately.

This will be coming next year after the launch of the new backoffice, it's one of the core goals for the general overhaul making this possible.
Here is a link to some of the work on the UI to give you a quick taster of other benefits of the overhaul.

similar issue affects the new forward order feature https://citruslime.canny.io/ecommerce-website/p/forward-order-feature-on-a-purchase-order

Yes, that would be handy.
Default each line on the PO to the PO Due date and then be able to change individual lines if needed.
