We NEED a forum to share experiences and knowledge around using the Citrus Lime Platform!

Watch the management team spit their morning brew out at the suggestion of a forum, and I would normally be joining them, but I really do feel its time for a Citrus Lime User Forum. Hear me out. Say you are thinking of buying a new handheld scanner to help with stocktakes and bin management. Its not something, as in many cases, that Citrus Lime can recommend, but if there was a forum you could pop on and ask, then someone may be friendly enough to help saving valuable time and money.
Many of us work in the same retail sector, many of us will be competitors, but we SHOULD be working together. With all the external challenges of running an SME in the UK, and in particular with recent fallout in the cycle industry, working together is good for us all.
I propose we have a small group of moderators - actual Citrus Lime clients - who are willing to put some time into moderating the forum which hopefully wont need much moderating as we are ALL amazingly nice people, and also a representative from Citrus Lime who wants to hear what clients are looking for support in and may be able to assist from time to time saving again, time and money, or may discover a new idea or opportunity to improve the Citrus Lime platform to the benefit of all of us.
So what do we think? Can we make the world a better place, solve global warming, stop all the wars? No. But we can make each others lives a little easier time to time and get a warm glow for helping someone else ticking off the annual good deed...
I'm up for being a moderator and I don't take any nonesense from anyone (unless you are offering a brew)
Thanks

A few of us old/current Pedego Dealers have a Pedego Citrus Lime Page: "CitrusLime 4 Pedego Dealers." It was set up when Pedego asked us all to move to Citrus Lime as our POS. We'd love to have other Citrus Lime users join us. It's a private group, so you'll need to request to join.
The stated purpose for the group is "Tips and Tricks that you would like to share and we can collaborate here for best practices! I would like to find ways to be more efficiently!" It was set up by ModernSecretary, a bookkeeper & more, that a lot of us used.
Mostly, we post our suggestions and ask for the others to vote for it, if they agree. A forum like this is helpful so we can ask how other stores handle certain issues, especially if the system can't be updated easily or only during a major rework. Figuring ways around certain aspects is important. And, asking other users is the best way to do that. There will likely be a little bitching, but it's been all positive so far.
You can ask to join us at: https://www.facebook.com/groups/929741388936489/

Pismo Bikes Main Account and Email Thats awesome - This is exactly what I am suggesting on a wider scale and with some strict rules, as Neil McQuillan - CEO Citrus-Lime is right, in the past ideas havent worked, BUT those were small group forums. For this to work we need to increase the size of the forum, whilst making sure everyone behaves like adulst and just helps each other out. Thats what it should all be about :)

Scott,
In principle this is a good idea. The challenge with these I've seen is they can become something of a moaning shop, dominated but a few strong negative voices. We would need positive voices to make them work and encourage my staff to engage rather than just seeing it as a place where the knives come out :-) We have tried running a few group sessions with retailers to talk about development priorities but everyone disagreed with each other about what was important, so it sort of stalled out in the end. I think likely showing the challegnes of putting things into priority order. We've implemented about 25% of the feature requests on Canny so its an effective way of raising issues, but good ideas can get lost and everyone understandably wants the things raised to get resolved.

Neil McQuillan - CEO Citrus-Lime thanks for the response and catch up on this. What I am suggesting isnt what you have done before. You have had small focus groups of key accounts (I wasnt invited to the party!), and this isnt about ideas on Canny and dev priorities, its simply a forum where you can ask a question about something rather than propose development, such as, "what scanners do you use" or "whats you best strategy for x" or "I could do this on X platforn before, has anyone found a way to do it on Citrus Lime?" and THEN if there isnt an answer that helps or solves an issue, it can be escalated to support or canny.
Its more about Citrus Lime clients helping each other out a bit, whilst learning things for themselves :)
