Finally the CSV export on the order lines report now includes the field as well. For those wanting to work with this in Excel.

Darren Hunt I can confirm that the change to filter Cloud MT orders and order lines reports by site address will be in the May ecommerce release.

This one is part of a larger problem for us - we have multiple websites but no way of actually identifying which website an order was placed upon. This has caused us issues with Google Analytics since 2018 where orders are misattributed to the wrong GA account - and it stems from POS being unaware of the websites, as it only exists on the e-commerce / CloudMT front (and I believe POS tells Google Analytics that an order has been placed upon being tendered)
There was an exportable orders/sales report in CloudMT that said which site an order was placed on, but after the re-skin of MT this column was dropped from the report.
Ideally, POS should know of our sites, and orders should be properly linked to the correct site.
Currently, one of our sites puts a specific order item line against an order generated from that site, as does another site, but it just feels like a major hack - as we then have to look at the order items to determine the "source" of the order, as opposed to it being a proper field.
This also means that orders without either of these items have to be assumed to have been placed on another one of our sites.

Steven Sproat: Hi Steve. This update should sort this as you will be able to see what site the order has come from. You should also now be able to see Site 1 or Site 2 etc against each order already? Its zero value but as it has the order reference number is easy to see which site it came from. Does this make sense?

Darren Hunt: Hi, not really, no - I'm talking about POS here. We have 2 sites and orders placed on site A are often reported as being placed on site B in Google Analytics, as POS has no idea of which site an order originated from
Neil McQuillan
Steven Sproat: POS does not tell Google Analytics when an order has been tendered, Analytics reports the transactions going thru the site but we don't upload information from POS.
The reason orders report incorrectly some of the time is:
We use Google's Click ID to report the order, so the correct marketing source is applied;
We report all orders in the background this ensures finance orders and others which complete 'in the background' report correctly
When a user has an Adblocker installed or there is a problem running Google's Tracking codes (e.g. the browser has 'Do Not Track' we report the order to the default site.
I think we have three issues here:
- You are frustrated with how we tag orders as associated with one site or the other - perhaps a second Canny with ideas on how might do this better would help me understand how we can improve it.
- Adding the site field in Cloud MT - which is happening for the next release.
- Can we improve GA tracking so when Google Click ID is missing we can report to the right Analytics property. If you raise a Canny for that I'll look into that, I've had an idea.

Darren Hunt I have raised an internal task for your request which will be discussed and scheduled in due course. The Canny will be updated as we progress through the work, such as planning the work and completing it. Thanks, Ben.
