When discussing scheduling with the team and how we can use with product launches and sale events we discussed that it will only really work for time sensitive launches if you can schedule all of the below:
- Banners (on and off)
- Product activation (on and off)
- Website Restart (as the cache will need clearing if we want the site to fully refresh at a time)
If only banners are given scheduling ability then it reduces the positive impact that scheduling could bring.

We haven't lost site of this we've decided to rewrite the logic for product pages and F&F pages to greatly increase speed. Product page is already live, and F&F for which the page loads are approx three times faster will be live in the March release. These will both increase search engine rankings and help with mobile conversion rates.
After that we will be moving to content management, doing the work in the opposite order would have meant doing large parts of the development piece twice when we looked at in detail.
I suspect this will be the major piece for the summer, however ongoing discussions around finance providers might delay this work if we do decide to integrate another provider.

Neil McQuillan: Thanks Neil, this is definitely top of our list so it's great to hear it's on the plan! At the moment, we're also unable to change banners in Banner Management using a mobile device, as the page will not scroll enough to allow it - is this something we should raise in Canny or will this be looked at as part of this? While we wait for scheduling it would be great if we could change banners on the go!

Neil McQuillan: I was on a call with Jason Donnelly on Friday, I mentioned banners to him and the ability to have say 10 layouts available for users to turn then on and off as required. Maybe with a max of 4 layouts available to be displayed at one time. This could cut down on design time required by stores and allow us to change the homepage to different combinations of banners as we choose.
I do understand the need for some control from Citrus as there will be "that one shop" who activated all the banners and it looking a complete mess.

This is something on our roadmap for next year, we have significant investment planned for the ecommerce front end in 2022 and this will be part of that work.
