Master Colours - expanding the list that will be copied across to child items

We have started to add videos and shared buyers guides to master colour products. However, this information does not get carried across to the child items. It is laborious to have to copy and paste such information for each item. Please can content in the video and buyers guides be included in the information that is copied across?

I am wondering if an interface similar to the 'Merge Item' functionality in the Cloud POS Back Office could work here, where you can select the fields you do/do not want to copy to the child items. What are your thoughts? We'd need to think through the most efficient workflow for both a) adding items to a Colour Group and b) making changes to the Master, as I wouldn't want this to become a labour intensive process with lots of additional clicks.
