Can there be a filter in star buys to exclude on sale items from the star buys or have a margin based criteria. i.e star buy if margin = >25% etc
or both options
Also could the select an item option be a multiselect box to allow more than 1 item to be selected

I agree with all the below comments, having star buys on sale items seems very backwards.

I agree with Lauren we need to be able to exclude sale items from star buys. It doesn't seem logical.

I definitely agree we need to be able to exclude sale items from star buys. It seems a bit backwards to include sale items by default, rather than exclude them.

I would love to be able to block a star buy from applying to Sale items, options at the moment appear to be for "on sale and not on sale" or, "on sale" but not for "not on sale"

Also adjusting the qty of the star buy would be great too. Someone buying a pair of boots might got for two pairs of socks if they're on a star buy.

Hey CYMO,
We currently can't provide support for the multi-item star buy. 
I'd suggest using a Find and Filter Collection to achieve this.
