What's in Collections

We NEED to be able to see what's in a collection on the find & filter page! It's so tricky when you've got to keep going back and forth between MT & POS to add items and the only way to see what's in it is when it's live on the website...
We also need to be able to delete unused collections so staff aren't using incorrect ones by accident. It just looks cluttered.
I'm sure there must be an easy fix for this and others must feel the same way!

Collections are something I'd like to revise in the New Year, but would my suggestion here be a useful improvement?

Neil McQuillan - CEO Citrus-Lime: I think that would be ideal, would the possibility of uploading ‘batches’ of SKUs via the wizard (using csv files) be also considered?
Neil McQuillan - CEO Citrus-Lime
Biagio Santoro: Yes that's certainly an option. My other thought is we allow a 'smart collections' feature which targets one or more F&F queries perhaps with a search phrase.
e.g.
/jackets/red
/teeshirts/onsale
We'd likely calculate the enteries nightly so the collection would not need constant maintenance.

Totally agree that we need an option to delete old collections. I know we can specify that they are not active... but still leaves everything so cluttered

Roxanne Schoeman I concur

Would a preview link which popped the collection open in a new tab on the website be a solution to 'seeing' a collection?

Neil McQuillan - CEO Citrus-Lime: we can see a collection by navigating to the url, what's needed is something to manage them back end, so a ILC list of items in the collection / csv upload potential and also deleting old collections. Having gone through Black Friday where we used Collections to group offers in it's painful and manual to add item by item.

Jon Mayo: I agree I’m trying to get together an idea of what needs doing to improve the back office functionality for collections.
