Historic Stock Value Report

At the moment you can only see your stock value as it is currently. We would find it really useful to look back and see historic figures to compare sales to stock holding etc. Particularly within departments, suppliers & brands (so you could see how your stock holding reflects in sales).
I understand that it might be unrealistic for this to be recorded every day, but perhaps Cloud Reports could save a snapshot either weekly or monthly of the stock holding at that point in time?

This also applies to our aged stock report case. Looking back, seeing what you have, and trying to work out what you need to get rid of. The aged stock report does not show you aged stock as it does not allow for items that have just been booked in. IE not aged stock.

Nudge Nudge... Lot of votes on this and it's hiding well down the list of suggestions.

Being able to select a date would be incredibly helpful to each of my stores, we may not be able to collect the information to provide to our bookkeeper on the last day of the month. It is important to make sure we can look at historical values. Choosing a date or time period would be amazing!

Neil McQuillan is this planned yet?

Yeah this is exactly what I was just about to suggest. If we were also able to see from this when or how long particular products were out of stock it could help with pre-orders.
Currently we're only able to see date last sold. Which doesn't account for any items that sold out and restocked before the next pre-order. If we could easily see when the last of a size, colour or product we could better adjust our pre-orders.
If there's a way to see how many days of the year an item has been out of stock. We'd find this very useful.

Yep, absolutely agree. If there is a function that can show a snapshot, historical stock figure, that would be really handy.

At present we have to manually run the stock on hand report, and then file each report for future use ifwe're looking to compare against a previous period.

That would be a great idea, currently a member of staff has to remember to run the report, at the end of the day on the last day of the month 🙈
