Simple Sales Report

There should be a way to very quickly see what the sales are by day. For example I want to look at my weeks sales, not the total, but broken down by day in a simple way. Much cheaper (even free) software provides this and I think for many shops is a must to see if there is a day that's better or worse.
There also needs to be a report to see, very simply what items you have sold that day across the shops.

Hi all,
I just wanted to give you a quick update on how this is progressing in Cloud POS 2.0 (coming soon!) - we're adding a dashboard to the till, so you can see some quick stats easily.
This is a WIP, so will likely evolve/change over the next coming weeks, but we're really excited to add this as a feature.
Any feedback is appreciated!

Suzy Weightman: Hi. Will the figures show items sold or mix in free shipping and other shipping options ? We we have a way of attributing a COGS to the website and EPOS to show more accurate margins per channel?

This is the one I use.
It shows a weeks data by default and you can pick a store or pick 'all stores'. You can then filter it for various options.
By default however it shows a weeks data and a graph.

This graph looks a bit weird as its our testing data but it illustrates the idea.
I also use this one a lot : https://intelligence.citruslime.com/reports/yearvsyear.aspx and indeed the five year report which is similar. https://intelligence.citruslime.com/reports/yearvsyear.aspx?years=5
Finally this one has some similar supper simple summary data. https://intelligence.citruslime.com/reports/dashboard.aspx?Empire=true
All that said as you can see we are adding more reports in this area as Dashboards in POS 2.0.

Neil McQuillan - CEO Citrus-Lime: When is 2.0 coming and do you have a list of features that are being added?

Hi all,
I think you should be able to achieve this with the Margin Detail Report in Cloud Reports.
If this is generated for "All Stores" for the time period required, you can then group the data by the 'Store' & 'Date' fields to give you a summary of each.
To group by a field, select the column and drag it into the group area.
You can also save the layout to quickly apply it each time you run the report using the "Create and Load Filters" option. This will reapply the grouping in the way you'd like to view your data.
Hopefully this helps with your requirements!
Thanks,
Suzy

Suzy Weightman: Hi, this is still far too complicated and long winded. a single button is all that should be needed . I have attached a picture of an example. Much cheaper software but much more user friendly. Select the dates and shows you very simply. The margin detail is far too detailed and to be honest hard to read.

Suzy Weightman: Personally i am not a fan, i find it far to easy to miss data. Like the image below would be good. also good that you can get straight to the low stock items and add them to a PO?

Jacob: Hi Jacob,
Gotcha! I've actually recently been working on adding a "stats view" or dashboard into our new user interface - Cloud POS 2.0.
This will allow you to quickly view daily/weekly sales information for your store. I hadn't intended on adding any charting...but I really like the way that's represented (I agree it's much easier to read), so will see what we can do!
In the mean time, I'll leave this post to accrue votes.
Thanks,
Suzy

Suzy Weightman: Can we also add a YoY sales diff %.
Like Jacob, we have to track everything outside of the reporting available from Cloud Reports.
There also needs to be an agreed week to date report and week num report which follows ISOWEEKNUM commonly used in Excel.

Completely agree and raised numerous times to no avail. There is one there but it’s a buyers report so ex vat but refuse to change it.

Agree there could be some very quick summary reports, the data is there but often you have to hack away at it to get some basic day-to-day stats.
