We're keen to unlock international shipping but our experience of relying on the customer being informed of the additional costs to be... sometimes discouraging.

I can't even imagine the work that would go into a suitable solution.

But from a customer perspective:

A sticky plaster fix could be a checkbox alongside " I am aware and agree to pay the additional costs for shipping to my chosen country" or any other choice small print, that makes the juice worth the squeeze!

Better yet displaying the current taxes, duties, fees, rates, exceptions, de minimus... etc for said chosen country. Calculated based on the basket value. Or a query string link that opens a separate tab?

Even better still a full and transparent Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) solution. It's a big ask, but it would be great to be able to sell outside of the UK, with no surprises for the customer.
