Amending email addresses

I hereby challenge anyone to successfully manage the email accounts in Customer Rewards.
You can make changes to the email address, however the account name which was also created incorrectly will remain the same.
We regularly see 30+ emails a day bounced due to incorrect spelling.
These have to be corrected in Cloud POS, and in the Customer Rewards database; however the Rewards database will return countless email accounts which we know we have already resolved.

FYI just had a conversation with support today about this very issue and (excuse me if I have the terminolgy wrong) they have added our email DNS settings to the email server used by CL to confirm that we are a ligitimate sender which should reduce the bouncing of emails. Might be worth contacting them to do the same.

When you amend an email in Customer Rewards the correspondence email changes in the Rewards platform , the username however cannot be altered. Note a sale against the account needs to be processed to cause the update to push thru.

Neil McQuillan Not being able to update the contact email is incredibly counter productive, particularly if the customer has purchased online. Part of the idea of CR is to try and entice purchasers back again but if the emails aren't even getting to the customer then it's kind of pointless.
Perhaps you can clarify, although I think I may have tried this already, would a zero cost transaction work to update the email address?

Info You can change the email address, you just alter it in Cloud POS, this is then used as the correspondence address. The original email address is simply used as an internal field at that point in time.

The one oddity is you have to process a transaction to update the address.
