Refund More Rewards Points instead of Money

We're seeing a few more people offering more in rewards points than the value of the refund as an option. I think next do it but 33MM (10% more in rewards) definitely do as a member of staff here just mentioned it.
It's a good idea as it could potentially retain the customer that might otherwise go elsewhere with their returned monies.
Ideally if there's a way to do this without a back and forth via email. I'm guessing we'd need a returns portal of sorts accessible from within or linked to the customer profile.
An idea for the future. Making more of the rewards and returns wouldn't hurt the LTV of of a customer.
