Rewards Email Control

It would be great to be able to set a minimum threshold of points that will trigger a rewards balance email to be sent. We've had several emails from customers complaining about the "annoying emails to tell them they have 20p to spend".
While i think it says a lot about the person that they would rather spend 5 minutes writing and email to complain rather than 10 seconds clicking the unsubscribe button I do think they have a good point. i would find it annoying and would unsubscribe, which is exactly what we don't want.
If we could set a threshold of, for example, £5 I think we would have fewer people unsubscribing and fewer people getting annoyed with the shop for spamming them

I've paused the set up of Customer Rewards on our account for this reason as it would probably annoy me too. Seems the new V2 upgrade hasn't addressed the problem.

Doesn't this raise a wider issue around how rewards are given. Having fixed reward targets such as £5, £10 or £20 gives a customer the excitement of something to aim for rather than a dribble of discounts. Other rewards systems work on this basis and it can generate a higher sense of reward because the value attained is higher. Emails could then be triggered when the level has been reached rather than just a points balance.

Great idea and very valid points, A £5 threshold is good. I too get some customer replies to the email saying " you can keep the 82 pence and take me off your list!

Agree - almost as bad as the emails every day from ebay managed payments now telling you a few quid has been dispersed.

@scott-hargrave-skiers-lounge-consultant: How are you finding eBay managed payments? Does it work okay with CL?

Scottwe've closed our ebay store this year after 15 years, the sales were barely covering the subscription fees these days.
