Remove an item from sale when local stock goes to zero

It would be really helpful if we had the option for local stock items to be removed from 'on sale' when our local stock reaches zero, rather than the sale price carrying on beng applied to SIM stock.

Hi all,
This is clearly a very popular suggestion, and one we're actively reviewing.
If you have any further comments regarding how you'd prefer this to work in Cloud POS, please let us know here.

Sale pricing on physical stock only

Essentially, I want to be able to set sale pricing on physical stock only, without turning off SIM stock availability.
Let’s say we have a Extra Small Giant Propel 1 in stock which we want to sell: it’s had no interest, so we want to blow it out. I only have one in stock. I wouldn’t want to sell three over a weekend for example, and have to order two more in to make no margin on orders 2 and 3.
We could block SIM stock but that would stop me selling a medium or large from supplier stock at normal margin in the same period, or while the bike was on offer and in stock, and we'd have to remember to turn SIM back on when it sold. Which we would fail at on a large number of stock items...
Mark C at CL suggested: Something like "apply sale pricing to local stock only", with a checkbox
Thanks

We would also find this very useful as we often have products on sale for a specific quantity of stock, not a date range :)

Adding a button that 'Limits to stock on hand' would be great!

Craig S I've put this same request in on a different thread a while back and was digging around for it, bumping into your post. I've actually had an issue with this twice in the past week with people shopping online.
We have items that are aged stock and "on sale until our in-store stock is gone" that are priced below cost. Having a box that could be checked for this type of sale pricing that blocks SIM, and only allows the sale price on in-store stock would be great. Then when shop stock is back to zero, the sale is deactivated and SIM is unlocked again.
We recently had one of a given closeout items left in stock, again marked below cost to move it out, but our supplier has good supply on this item.
Shopper finds us online, sees we have what he wants on sale, and orders 3 of said items at the below cost sale price. And because our supplier has plenty in stock (again we only have one left) it allows him to buy a total of three. Now we're in a situation where we are essentially paying him to order these items. We have handled the situation as delicately as possible, with complete transparency, but in both cases, it has not gone great.
So having appropriate messaging that communicates something like "sale good on shop stock only" or "while store supplies last" would be helpful. And again, blocking SIM or blocking the sale price once shop stock is zero would be great. Given all the other options for sale pricing, it seems like there would be a way to get this functionality too.

Did we ever get this looked at, scheduled or dismissed?

This would be very useful. If for whatever reason we wanted to sell a certain quantity of an item at a reduced price we could limit the number of items sold at the reduction. I can see it working along side sale set up fields- i.e. dates and prices etc... with a column / box for ''number of items to sell at reduced price before reverting to SRP'
