This really is a pretty bad flaw in the design of the website that been an issue since the switch to Cloud POS quite a number of years ago now and it really should get sorted. Can we expect to see any change to this? It's virtually impossible to create a banner image that scales well to mobile.

I have just spent 20 minutes with helpdesk to try and resolve the problems we have with home page banners appearing well on a mobile but not on the desktop (and vice versa). We currently have a badly cropped image on the desktop but one that looks fine on the mobile site. This should be far easier to resolve. The help sheet doesn't help much. Moreover, you cannot see what the banners looks like until you make them live (and it takes a while for the new image to be displayed in any case). The basic advice seems to be to go for an image size not as per the help sheet with plenty of clearance around the subject of the image for when cropping takes place. This is a bit vague to explain to my design team. I do think it's time a better know how sheet was offered and/or a better banner management system designed.
