Cloud MT – Item Filter Quick Apply: Suggested Improvements

To make the Item Filter Quick Apply feature practical and easy to use, please consider adding the following navigation improvements:
1. Keep the horizontal left/right scroll bar visible at all times, rather than requiring the user to scroll to the bottom of the item list to access it.
2. Freeze the column headings so they remain visible while scrolling vertically through the list.
3. Freeze the Item Name/Item Line column so the item being reviewed remains visible while scrolling horizontally through the various fields.
These are important usability features when reviewing or correcting a large number of items.
For example, I am currently using Item Filter Quick Apply to narrow our inventory to Electric Bikes so I can review how those items are categorized. Some products that are not e-bikes are appearing in the Electric Bikes results, and I would like to review their fields to determine which setting is causing them to be included.
Unfortunately, the current page layout makes that very difficult. To scroll left or right and review all of the fields associated with an item, I first have to scroll all the way to the bottom of the list to access the horizontal scroll bar. By that point, the column headings are no longer visible, so it is difficult to know which fields I am reviewing.
Likewise, once I scroll horizontally to the right, the Item Name is no longer visible. I can see the data in the various columns, but I can no longer tell which item that data belongs to.
Essentially, the information I need is available, but the current navigation makes it extremely difficult to use effectively.
Requested functionality:
* Keep the horizontal scroll bar accessible regardless of vertical position on the page.
* Freeze the column-heading row while scrolling vertically.
* Freeze the Item Name/Item Line column while scrolling horizontally.
Adding these basic freeze-pane and scrolling capabilities would make Item Filter Quick Apply significantly more useful for reviewing item data, identifying incorrect classifications, and making bulk corrections.
Thank you for considering these improvements. I believe they would make a substantial difference in the day-to-day usability of this feature.

Thank you for all these suggestions.
I am going to merge all the posts related to improvements to the Item Filter Quick Apply into here. The summary of requests is as follows:
- Keep the horizontal left/right scroll bar visible at all times.
- Freeze the column headings so they remain visible while scrolling vertically through the grid.
- Freeze the Item Name/Item Line column so the item being reviewed remains visible while scrolling horizontally through the grid.
- Add drop-down menus to column headers in the grid.
- Make column widths adjustable by the user.
- Provide column filtering for Browse Filters.
- Provide a bulk edit option rather than the individual copy-paste approach.
- The ability to export the grid.

We are trying to identify items which are in filter combinations that are not 'navigable' on the website. please make the above report site by site exportable, or some other way to discover these 'missing' products. (we have multisite setup, so more complex).
or just an excel dump of the current product data by site.

Would like to see rather than having to individually click on the Paste button for each individual item, a way of bulk selecting items in the same way other tables allow to do this in Cloud MT, with a Select button at the top to click everything you have searched for please.

Item Filter Quick Apply Allow Filtering of Item Group Filters

It would be great if the top selection header allowed you to filter the "Item Group Filter" further, at the moment you can only do that one level up - item group

Adjustable Column Widths

To make the views more user friendly, could we have the option of making some columns smaller, so that we can see more columns on the screen? Also, could we have the option of deleting a column that is not needed, again, allowing us to see the columns we need?

Item Filter Quick Apply -- Add Drop Down Menus At The Top Line Please
P

Could you please add drop-down menus to the top search/filter row, similar to the ones currently available for the "Local Stock" and "SIM Stock" fields?
Many of the Find and Filter fields already have predefined choices for each line item, but not at the top line. It would be very helpful to have those same choices available as drop-downs at the top.
For example, when filtering by "Department", I currently have to manually type the department name. If I make a typo or don't enter the exact wording used in the system, nothing comes up.
A drop-down would let me quickly select the correct option, making searches faster, easier, and more accurate.
It would be especially helpful for fields such as Department, Activity, Brand, Color, Age Group, Item Group, Material, and any other fields with predefined choices.
This seems like a small change that could make the Find & Filter tools much quicker and more user-friendly to use.
Thank you for considering it!

Using Filter Quick Apply Screen

The layout of the Filter Quick Apply makes setting up products harder. There is a lot of white/ dead space around the Copy/Paste and SIM Action buttons. You are also unable to scroll side ways when holding down the scroll on your mouse? Despite using a relatively wide screen, there is a lot of side scrolling required, even when zoomed out. Whereas with the current MT, you can see everything at once. Attached is a screenshot of my screen.

Would be very helpful and consistent from a UX point of view.

Can you also freeze the top line titles? We need to see those titles as we scroll down. Also, can you make the width of the columns settable, so that we can squeeze up the columns that don't matter as much to us? Also, can you make the scroll bar at the bottom of each page float to whatever line we are looking at so that we can see that items full row of information?

on Item Filter Quick Apply...once we get the items filtered down to the group we want, we should be able to download the data to an excel file. It makes it easier for us to sort and analyze the data.
