Essential items on basket page

On our current site we display a filter collection repeater on the basket page to gain add on sales (i.e. "Don't forget these essentials...") with a range of low value items. This works really well for increasing basket spend and increasing volume sales of low value items.
We have been told this feature is not available when moving to modular. Can this be developed?

Hey Ben, I definitely appreciate your situation here - we locked down any customisation to the basket in modular so this kind of customisation isn't available right now.
However, I'm really interested in knowing what kind of uplift in revenue this feature provides you, in order to understand if this would be a platform feature or not.
Could you possibly provide some data to me, confidentially, via email?

I've you've spotted a few customised layouts out there, those will be for customers who have ongoing website maintenance agreements (Design maintenance plans, 360 Marketing) whereby the design team have some more flexibility to provide support to these customisations.

Ben Kippax: Hi Ben - We are a 360 customer. Its just previously Id been told that customisation of the cart was very restricted. Seems this has changed now - so I will discuss it in our design time.

Shirin Sadr: hey, I can’t see how it would be one rule for one and another rule for another. If you hit a roadblock, give me a shout and I will discuss internally. There are features which are most certainly “locked down” but it seems, to me at least, that the basket has been opened up for customisation.

Ben Kippax: Just checking as we have not added this feature in design time due to this request being marked as "Planned" for quite a while. Is this likely to be introduced any time?
If not, then I guess we just need a way of adding a collection group with the Quick View functionality to display on the basket.

Ben: I've noted that the development task for this had been hanging around in the ecom queue for a while, on Friday. I've passed your comment along and hopefully we'll get to this sooner rather than later. Unfortunately I don't control the roadmap, although I do have input, so I can't force an issue atop of our queue.
