Full Mailchimp Integration

Mailchimp allows you to pull from your product database to feature products on campaigns in a very nice format along with tons of other very useful integrations, from best sellers to re-marketing along with a heap of customer journeys that are currently limited by our limited integration - in a number of cases customer receive emails with blank spots (this looks rather terrible).
Another issue is that whilst website customers are fed to the mailchimp list, in store POS customers are not meaning that only a portion of customers are added to a mailing list and manual uploads are required making the fee for 'integration' difficult to swallow.
At present even with the API setup Citrus Lime does not integrate properly so only items that have been sold will feed to mailchimp and only the data on that item at the time of sale (so if the price changes later or images etc mailchimp won't show this and often have missing info).
Having spoken to mailchimp a number of times about this they have said that there is an issue with our current integration and that with correct API integration all of the features would work and seriously increase our selling/marketing potential

We are looking for an alternative partner to work what we are looking for is:
- A provider who has a partner program who we can build a relationship with
- Supports the upload of product and sales data with a reasonable number of data points (F&F facets e.g. /roadbike/male/red), the brand and I'm open to other suggestions here
- Can support bulk uploads so we can reliably upload customer rewards balances (We use Mailchimps batch functionality but they seem to throw away a lot of our uploads)
- A decent automation engine so our customers can create workflows for emails
- Is sensibly priced for our customer base (e.g. doesn't charge for customers who have opted out)
Any ideas?

Neil McQuillan - CEO Citrus-Lime Interestingly on the very same week our marketing team had a conversation with Salesfire who has entered the email space. They are building their product around strong automations and AI. It will be able to integrate with the other pieces they have on the website already like Search and Recommendations. They are supposedly going to merge their offering in to a single integrated product. As you already work with them it sounds like it would be good to have a chat with them. We are interested in exploring it as a replacement for Mailchimp.
Alternatively I hear lots of good things about Klaviyo.

Neil McQuillan - CEO Citrus-LimeBen Kippax Hi, are there any plans to integrate additional audience data to Mailchimp, specifically:
- Last Purchase
- Address details for locality marketing
Please let me know if this is indeed possible, and if not currently in the plans - Ill add as a separate suggestion post.
Thanks!
Ben Kippax
Our MailChimp integration now defaults to uploading orders from both Cloud POS and Cloud POS Ecommerce. A line-item is added to each order to differentiate between orders placed online and orders placed in store. This means that you can create meaningful workflows and automations based on where your customers visited and ordered their items.

Hi Neil & Ben, I tried pulling products on this today (11/02) and there were quite a lot missing (I had the helpdesk activate this yesterday)? Any ideas or have I just tried a bit too early?

This work is completed and live if you ask the helpdesk to switch it on for you.

Neil McQuillan - CEO Citrus-Lime: Just catching up on this. Are all of the features mentioned in the original post implemented? For instance are POS customer email addresses now uploaded plus their GDPR status? If so we will stop manually uploading these.

Something that would be a "nice to have" is a way to tell if a customer has utilised a promotional code but I am not sure how and if this could work.
Additionally - from checking I am assuming that date on the purchase location is not fed through. So at the moment Neil McQuillan - CEO Citrus-Lime there is no way to determine if the customer has purchased in store or online in mailchimp data?

Neil McQuillan - CEO Citrus-Lime Pleased to see the uploads are now going to be functioning as per the update coming tonight! Thanks guys - Will this back date or shall I upload any retail customers manually ahead of this?

Shirin Sadr: We're about to issue an update to the email we've sent out, but only to say that this new 'upload POS transactions' option needs to be switched on by the helpdesk.
When we upload all POS transactions (which includes any web orders), this changes the behaviour from the way it is now. Web orders upload when they are placed which is why we've added an option so we don't change peoples MailChimp workflows without giving time to plan.
If the option is not set, which is the current default for all sites, the orders will only upload from ecommerce and will do so as they are placed.
We plan to move all sites to the new 'upload POS transactions' and remove the configuration option in the future but we wanted to allow people to consider the impact this may have on MailChimp workflows - I suspect this will be an improvement all round but we don't know all the workflows people have setup and the point we upload the order (despatched vs when placed) is a change in timing.
The email also refers to 'Workshop Reminders' this is a system going into the next Cloud POS release and this is simply a mistake.
We've clearly had to many eggnogs and mince pies over the Christmas break sorry for the confusion we've had a bit of group think here putting the email together which I've definitely played my part in!

Neil McQuillan - CEO Citrus-Lime: We can all relate to too many eggnogs and mince pies. No worries, thanks for clarifying.

Neil McQuillan - CEO Citrus-Lime: Just to clarify - this new update does not resolve the issue of instant uploads when customers sign up via the email input field on the site, only if they make a transaction?
