IOSS - Shipping Orders Outside of the UK to EU with NO tax/duty to pay for the Customer

Its fantastic to see Citrus Lime making their platform multi national to expand their market, but we still need the platform to help UK customers ship orders to the EU, and using IOSS is currently not supported. This allows retailers to ship INCLUDING VAT and then customers do NOT need to pay import tax, duty and processing fees.
As this is something that some couriers are now insisting on due to the amount of rejected, delayed and returned shipments, could we please have this ability, as judging by the communications from the likes of Royal Mail, as some point this may be a requirment, and using IOSS makes UK retailers far more attractive to EU customers, without having to resort to eBay and the associated costs.

We've implemented the ability to calculate duties into the checkout, this is progressing with development continuing to integrate a duty calculator API I'm not sure if this addresses this issue?

Hi Neil McQuillan - CEO Citrus-Lime thanks for responding - yes if we have that at the checkout that’s a big part of IOSS setup, is that live yet and if so how do we switch it on, if not when will we see it roll out so we can get IOSS back up and running? Good news though

We are talking into a tunnel of nothingness, and its very silent.
Neil McQuillan - CEO Citrus-Lime and Emma - Citrus-Lime can this pleae be progressed? It unlocks the doors to a lot of small businesses to be able to transact again with Europe, and new clients are expecting this as standard, as its available on the oher platforms?

I can’t believe this hasn’t moved forward or at least had a comment from Citrus Lime - it’s something MANY of your customers would benefit from here in the UK and would be great to address this concurrently with conquering the wider world :)

Pre Brexit 15% of our turnover was in Europe and we'd like to get that back. For that to happen we need smoother transaction process for us and the customer. The customer will convert much better if they can purchase their product duty paid delivery, this would require some CL checkout work.

Really keen to get going with this. We see the biggest barrier to increasing sales in to EU countries at the moment is their reluctance to pay duties and taxes on delivery (and rightly so if they can get the product in their own country without the hassle). In order for us to put the effort in to marketing and purposefully targeting the EU again for sales we require this development so that customers pay duties and taxes in the checkout. There are a lot of opportunities here but also feel it would be good to make a move on this quickly whilst other businesses are still not setup for shipping to Europe.
