PLEASE give (some of) us caching control back!!!

Those of us who understand the implications of page caching and site restarts, understand why this feature had to be removed due to (ab)use of it, and also the need to be aware of infrastructure work and load. PLEASE can we have back some caching control for those customers who are know how it should and should NOT be used? This shouldnt be difficult, it should be possible to queue using a control if infastructure need periods of pausing any requests, or even make it a request which needs manual approval, but its so damn frustrating how it is now.
Thank you!

I’m confused the caching is all less than a few minutes on stock and pricing now. Which area is giving you a problem?

Neil McQuillan content pages, product pages, home page. When you need to correct a content error or merchandise (well as much as we can presently) to respond to an opportunity or remove something, you are waiting… and waiting. Site restart then required for quick fixes and that means waiting on chat to request and then waiting for approval.

Scott ah that’s not ideal in terms of efficiency for either of us. We’re buried in a checkout overhaul but I’ll address this for you after that launches.
