UPC visibility

As of right now the UPC is tied to the site through backend code, so it is "there" its just not actually visible. This makes it challenging for customers to verify actual item that shares similar imagery to another item. Supplier part code is visible, but consumers are much more likely to know the UPC than they are to know the supplier part code.
I'd like to recommend surfacing the UPC right next to where we surface supplier part code on the product profiles.

We have had several requests related to the product codes surfaced on the Product Detail Pages:
- requests for the UPC/EAN
- requests for the codes of the child items in a matrix
I have merged these posts together into a single discussion.

It would be helpful for customers if they could see the part codes of items on the product page online. E.g. Specialized bikes have specific part numbers in the format 90324-5402, which are shown on their own website. It helps customers if they can cross-reference between a particular part number and what we're selling on our site.

That’s a good idea but it will encourage price matchers to compare and will give more away to AI scrapers. It depends I guess on whether people would be comfortable with that! The reality is that people do search and compare so it’s happening anyway, and both Google and customers don like an EAN or UPC :)
Maybe it should be switchable so it’s an option as there are multiple product page options that don’t seem to be used much in cloud mt…
