If receipts had the order number as a barcode at the bottom, you could scan the receipt at the till to load the sale.

This would be especially useful for workshop jobs or special orders.

I think really ought to be possible. Most EPOS allows this and would be much easier and better for paper usage. We done have an A4 printer in every store so would be very usefull!!

I also only issue the till receipts not A4. I find returns a very awkward process.

Improve return transaction process: For a barcode to be added to the bottom of the receipt that can be scanned, which will take you straight to the past transaction. This means there is no need to enter the transaction number or scan an item to search previous transactions.

Hi James, 
There is already a barcode which is printed onto the A4 receipts. For a transaction receipt, this is the transaction number and for an order receipt this is the order number.
Does this do the job for you, or would you like to see it on the physical printed 40-col receipts?

Hi Dave, 
This is already present on the A4 order receipt and the A4 workshop tag. 
This can be scanned in the Scan to Recall Open Order field in the POS to recall the order.

We use 40col receipts for all the in store repairs.
