Clear all filters on search closure

Whenever we search for a customer or product that search remains visible whenever we next go to search. Can it be set-up so that when the search screens are closed it automatically clears the last search and the next search you undertake doesn't bring back your previous results?

I have also found this feature counterintuitive. You have to remember to clear out any old searches.

Could even add this at user level as a preference, I assume some may want search filters to be retained, whereas some see it as an annoyance.
