Default Focus to Item scan/quick search

Once a cashier has logged onto the till the cursor does not automatically select the 'Item scan/quick search' box as it used to. Would it be possible for this to be reinstated because cashiers are scanning/ typing away and nothing is being inputted into the till?

Hi all,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We've worked fast to fix this and released a hotpatch this morning to resolve the problem. The item search/scan field will now be auto-focused when first logging into the till and after either a manual or automated Quick Switch.

Thanks for flagging this, we'll take a look at this straight away and look to address the bug where this field isn't focused any more.

Suzy Weightman coud you also change the focus so when you click on the send SMS button on the 2fa page, it then automatically focuses ont othe "Authentication Code" box. Thank you

Richard T: As this is a separate request about a different area of the platform, I've raised a separate work item for the Development Team to address it. It's not a priority for our next few sprints at the moment, but it's on the list.
