The discount total does not match the discounts given on each item.
Item discounts should total $2,477.99 (699+499+179.99+600+500).
However, the right side of the POS transaction on shows only $1577.99 in discounts. A $900 difference.
I very much rely on the right side of the screen to make sure I'm ringing each customer out with the correct discounts. The total discounts must be right. Both for actuall dollar value and percentage of total.
Unfortunately, the Discount "details" button doesn't show the actual details of the discounts, but goes to a screen to apply more discounts, so I am unable to see what discounts are accounted for and which are not. I don't know why the $900 discount exists. What's not being accounted for?
Oddly, when I print the recipt (after ringing the person out), the real total for the discounts ($2477.99) is shown accurately.
But, because the right side of the transaction screen doesn't show the accurate discount total, at the time of sale, before I hit transact, I'm unable to confirm with the customer that I have applied all the discounts we talked about. I need to be able to verify discounts BEFORE I hit Transact. The POS screen MUSt be accurate.
It would be helpful if:
- Each line showed the Original Price, the Sale Price, and the Savings (Discount) by line item. The customer wants to see this information.
- The total discount was accurate on the right hand side of the transaction screen. So that we could confirm each discount given as well as the total with the cusotmer BEFORE we hit the transaction button.
- The total discount shown on the right hand side of the transaction screen matched the discount shown on the receipt.
- The receipt needs to show the items requested in Suggestion #1 (above): Original Price, the Sale Price, and the Savings (Discount) by line item. The receipt also needs to show the Total Dollar Value of the discounts (as it does today), but also the percentage of the total discount. Some customers want to see the total dollars saved, while others are much more interested in whether they saved 10% or 20% or 30% on their total sale. show the receipt needs to show the percentage of total savings, as well.
Most importantly, though, is the POS tranaction screen needs to add the idividual discounts accurately to show the accurate total discounts.

We have the same problem here when trying to discount multiple items with a certain percentage. We have a discount shelf for our plants and often sell multiple of them. We have to manually discount each individual one since the options to discount the whole sale often gives us the wrong number. Trying to rest the discounts and trying again will also reset the original value to the wrong amount leading us to have to cancel the transaction and start again.
