Hi everyone!
After some investigation we have now implemented this feature into CloudPOS and it will be in the next CloudPOS release.
It will be available when a Gift Voucher is first purchased, as well as an option on Gift Voucher tab on a Customer Card for previously purchased gift vouchers.
Thank you everyone who has voted for this feature,
Stacey

Stacey: Hi Stacey,
Just printed one and I noticed that the label has no value indicated, they look pretty good stuck into the card, but the recipient has no idea of the value unless we stick a paper receipt in as well as the label.
Would it be possible to add this on?
Thanks

Stacey: Is it possible to speed up the printing of gift voucher labels? Currently it's taking about 30 seconds for the sticker to print and it's going to be a horror show in December when vouchers are selling fast

Hi All, we have added this request to our Development list and hope to include this change in Our March 2021 release. This request deals purely with using gift voucher codes generated through Cloud POS and facilitating a way to print onto a label. The point regarding assigning your own codes exists as a request already in our system, and isnt something that can be implemented at the moment. We are keeping that request under review to look at again at a future date.
Thanks all, Rebecca

Problem is the printer use thermal labels and get that label near a heat source and it will just turn to Black. Much better to have a supply of pre-printed cards with the specific barcode format. Did this with a previous system and worked really well. The same logic could also be applied for loyalty cards to call up customer accounts.

Steve Taylor: I'm inclined to agree with you, but I thought being able to print onto the label and stick it into a card, would be better than what we're currently doing and stapling a piece of paper into the card.
As for the pre-printed cards, they're great, but do we go plastic or 'card' if this becomes an option? There's a lot of justifiable negativity towards single use plastics at the moment, there's also a lot of them in our industry, so if we can cut them out where we can that can only be a good thing...

Better still the option to scan a unique code on a gift card at the point of issue and use that. We had this with our old system and it`s a much more professional way to sell a gift card. Unique sequential numbered good quality colour cards are not that expensive either.

What a great workaround, and potentially really simple to achieve..
