Partcode Not Found Improvements
planned
Neil McQuillan - CEO Citrus-Lime
Currently when a partcode is typed into the search box and not found, we display a dialogue which simply says partcode not found (see screenshot 1).
I've been talking to a retailer who suggested having something similar to the out of stock popup but with the option to search SIM, create a new item or simply not add the item.
See the second screenshot for a rough mockup.

We’re changing what happens when you press Enter, or scan, in the Item Scan/Quick Search field.
If the entry exactly matches an Alias, Item Lookup Code or Supplier Part Code, the item is added to the transaction as it is now.
If not, you’ll no longer see the “Barcode Not Found” pop-up. Your entry stays in the field and runs as a normal search, showing any matching items. If there are none, you’ll see “We could not find any matches” with an Open Full Search button and a new Search SIM button, which opens SIM Search & Import with your search term carried over.
This work is in progress and, pending successful testing, we're targeting a release in mid-November.
