Price Label Improvements
planned

planned
Hi all,
We're going to be doing some work on the Price Labels in the new year following Back Office 2.0 completion.
The main focus will be to improve the font size (specifically the Price).
We've been looking at what is possible with our label printer and I've attached a mock-up (very much still a work in progress), but we think we'll be able to make some significant improvements!
Thanks,
Suzy

Suzy Weightman the label doesn't need the "Bike Shop" name on it and the SKU at the end of the description can go as it is repeated under the barcode. Doing this should give you more space to increase the font sizes where it matters.

Suzy Weightman. All fonts need to be in a bold font. The skinny lettering makes it hard to read. And we need to be able to read it when the bar code doesn't work.

Adam Simmons Hi Adam,
Thanks for your feedback, as I said this is just a mock-up and isn't the final solution.
A lot of our users would like the Store name to be printed on the label.
The SKU you mentioned is a demonstration of a Bin Location which we do print on labels depending on the format selected.
Thanks again,
Suzy

I've had three customers comment on the size being too small too read over the last three days.

Has anyone found an alternative app or system to create something usable in a retail floor setting?

100% agree. Larger please, or at least a couple options. Large version. Small version.... we'd only use the large!!

I love it when a customer shouts across the shop and asks "how much is this?"
I really want to reply "I don't know, I can't read the label from here."

Totally agree. The label should be user configurable.

It would also look much more professional if we had a £ next to the price instead of just a number with a decimal point. When we first had the system there was a £ sign for the price.

RMS had the option of a label designer where you could add the fields you want - Dept, Category, Brand, MSRP etc, and chose font/font size.

Dave Citrus Lime just need to give us the RMS label and design functionality. I found one the other day, even had our web address on it - those were the days...
