Serialized Items - Automatically become "Serviced Items" On customer card.

This might be a little long. Hopefully easy to follow but should make a great feature for those of us who have service departments and offer follow up care for new bicycles.
Scenario: Customer is buying their new bike. This bike is a Serialized item. We offer after care and want to remind the customer to bring it back.
Currently the system just makes a transaction and your done.
Instead of this, The system Could Add that New Bike (Serialized Item) as a "serviced Item" on the customer card. Second to that, having the system ask the Cashier with a Prompt to "set a service Reminder Email" You should easily be able to say No, Set a custom date for the email to be scheduled or Pre Set a user defined Default.
This will also save time in the future when creating Workshop job as the Item already exists with it's serial number and will not need to be created.

Automatically create service item from tendering a sale

we would like to start using the service items fully, but trying to get 100+ staff members to correctly enter the correct format every time (for consistency) is quite difficult
Could there be an option on certain categories (i.e. bikes) where POS asks do you want to create a service item and it can automatically fill in the service item when the sales is finalised and it can get the details from the item card. e.g. "Trek Marlin Red Small"
this would get us using the service items more, meaning more comms to customers and more chances for servicing in the future

Hi all,
We avoided adding this workflow automatically as we thought that for the initial P.D.I. workshop job for the bike being sold the Serviced Item may have already been created.
We're planning on adding this option when selling a Serialised item in the POS, so you can choose to create one, or not.
Timeline for this is the back end of next year after Back Office 2.0 completion.
Thanks,
Suzy
