Show on POS when item is on sale

I really need this function, it's frustrating to have a bike on sale on our website that customers have seen already and when staff enter the SKU into POS it does not show it's discounted from RRP. Furthermore, it does not show the savings from the normal price on the receipt either. I've also had staff pricing items with the sale price instead of the usual price, so when the sale ends... there's a heap of stock incorrectly priced in the shop creating confusion. I know this has been raised already before, I am pushing for it and hoping to rally support - It's the ONLY thing lacking in my total love for Citrus-Lime.

I could not agree more!!! This really is a NEED not a want...
Here is some of our feedback on this and how it affects the business.
Issues for us:
1. Receipts not showing savings unless a sale price is set. But in the case the Price is 10% less than the MSRP no saving is displayed. Some of our suppliers allow us to have a price that is 10% under MSRP. Which does mean that we are passing on a 10% saving to our customers. We want them to be able to see that 10% as a saving on their receipt. Instead of that looking like the full price- when they have saved 10%. The web does display it as a saving so why can’t our receipts too?
2. If we are running a sale only in-store (as an example 20% off pony camp list. Discount to be applied by the till staff because it requires pony camp proof) If a staff member cannot immediately see that an item is already on sale when they scan it at the till- they are at risk of setting a discount on an item that really should not qualify for a discount.
We think it would be of use to at least have the discount value/percentage displaying in the discount column on the till POS screen. The column is already there anyways…
3. A follow up on point 2- We have noticed that when you’re at the till, and you go to set an item discount a list appears which gives you the option to Select a Discount Method to Apply. The system automatically highlights and selects the first option - Discount Percentage (current price). Why would this be an issue you may ask? Well, that could be the difference between giving a customer 20% OFF or accidentally offering 40% OFF because the member of staff wasn’t aware that the item was already on sale. I am informed by the support team that they cannot set the default to - Discount Percentage (MSRP) (that would at least reduce the risk of discounting on top of an existing discount - unknowingly.)
So… can we remove the default all together?? This would make it so till staff have to select the discount method to apply from the appropriate channel. Instead of them just setting a value in the box below and pressing enter- which will automatically take the discount off the current price on the item. Whether it is already on sale or not.
