The printing of X and Z reports

I have two stores and run the X reports every night. I would like to turn OFF the printed receipts and cash drawer opening every day. As I can not be at both shops in the mornings to catch the receipts and close the drawers, I do not find it appropriate for my staff to view these printed reports. Even when I am at the shop closing a batch, I do not use the paper. It is a waste of money to buy the paper for this. How can we turn off the printing and drawer opening to protect our privacy as store owners?

Thank you for your feedback. I've merged two posts together, as they're asking for the same thing - the ability to view (but not automatically print) the X Report from within the Point of Sale.
I've marked this post as 'Under Review', so that we can consider it further. Updates will be posted here, so if you'd like to be automatically notified of those, please add a vote.

Why can't i just view an X report on the screen rather than printing one out and wasting paper?

Almost a year now since this has been posted, is there a method for this yet?

Scott; agree, anywhere that is printing reports, should have the optino to display on screen only

it would need to open in a new window as if it was onscreen it would get in the way when trying to update your z report

It almost seems like it could be automatically displayed right on the screen without the need for an additional tab or window. Not printing would be a good start though.

I had this same question and feel the same way. We should be able to just view the report and choose to have it printed if we need it.
They did provide a work around via chat: Backoffice -> View Receipts.
You can get Z and X there without printing.

Tim Staton but now we have to log into the backoffice, in another window...seems not efficient.

The pop up suggests it can just be viewed but it always prints anyway, glad this is not just me!
