Export SIM Basket BEFORE Import to Import spreadsheet template

SIM is handy for identifying new items and getting the basic data together but we have to run multiple wizards after SIM import to fix the problems:
1/ Wizard to fix Descriptions and Barcode Descriptions
2/ Wizard to fix Supplier Cost Prices
3/ Wizard to fix Avg Cost Prices
4/ Wizard to sort any brand discounts we have in place.
5/ Manually fix Matrix issues...
Solution
From the basket have an option to:
Export to Import Template
We can then tweak all the data we need to, especially descriptions and matrices for a clean manual import.

Stefan Moody It turns out this is possible I have included a screenshot so you can see howto add newly created items onto a wizard for export and reimport. There is no possibility of exporting data from SIM basket, it would create a hard coupling between POS and SimServices (e.g. we cannot change one without the other) so this cannot be actioned sadly as it was a good idea.

Neil McQuillan: Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately this is what we are already doing as a fix. This is just the first of four wizards we have to do with each SIM import. We then have to run a Price wizard (to fix any brand discounts/current promos we're running). Then it's the Supplier wizard to fix the cost prices and check VAT levels. Then the Revalue Stock to fix AVG costs. The biggest pain is to then manually check all the Matrix items created to check content and display orders.

Any progress on this please. It would be so handy and save so much time as every single import needs to be tidied up!

Leisure Lakes Bikes - Admin: Hello,
As this would require some considerable development time to implement, we would like to see more votes for this request before considering it for the development backlog.
Thanks,
Suzy

Suzy Weightman: Even just an Export basket data to Excel would be so handy. We can then copy/paste into the import template. A SIM import of Fizik shoes with really bad matrix data has now caused us hours/days of work to try and fix.
SIM is great for quickly identifying new items but causes us so much work to tidy it up.

Leisure Lakes Bikes - Admin: Hi Suzy, any chance of a review to see if we can get an export to Excel for whatever is in the basket?
This would save us so much time and be really, really handy!
Just looking at a bike import and I'm going to have to run at least four wizards to tidy it all up and then manually check Matrices.
If an Export Basket to Excel option was available I could get the job done in a fraction of the time.
Thanks,
Stef

Perfect example today.
Just used SIM to import in the new Haibike 2023 bikes.
Sizes missing from the Barcode descriptions, Matrices size orders not always correct, cost price margins set at zero.
I've now got to run multiple wizards and then manually check every single Matrix.
All this could have been avoided if I'd been able to Export the basket to Excel.

Stefan Moody: What about being able to create wizards based on the item creation date. e.g. Add everything to a wizard which was created in the last N days, this could then be pulled out into Excel and reworked? This might be more viable than an export from the grid which is based on data hosted in another microservice....

Neil McQuillan: Interesting...We'd have to be able to adjust all prices/costs, descriptions etc. Add/remove/reorder items from matrices(very important!) and all in the one wizard.
I do prefer the idea of kicking the data into shape before it is imported into Citrus Lime. Seems like a much cleaner way to do things. Is exporting the basket to your Import Template that tricky?
